THE VILLAGE FOOD MOVEMENT
The Village Food Movement was founded to focus on the traditional methods of using our natural resources, whilst also evolving and pushing for creativity with the use of modern technology.
The aim is to educate, embrace and increase awareness of the importance of an organised food sustainable culture in our constantly changing environs, without losing our unique Caribbean culinary lifestyle - born from a patchwork influenced by Kalinago, Taino, West African cuisines and methods, interspersed with colonial British, Indian, Spanish and French foods.
By these measures The Village Food Movement also seeks to encourage intellects to learn business acumen through passion in food and agriculture, and forge individual paths in micro and small business entrepreneurship.
Our Village Food Movement Mission
To reinstate the culture of working together, teaching one another, growing together.
To use valuable earth resources as circular as is possible.
To respect each other.
To assist in removing barriers, whether mental or legal, to assist in creating work opportunities
for personal and economic growth.
The Village Food Movement is a volunteer channel for promoting education, supporting the food economy, encouraging better eating habits and connecting with the community
